Philosophy

We are working towards giving value to our territory. Most importantly, we are pursuing essential goals with a set of values in that we are recognized as part of a group where the individual fulfills his part for the common good.
Our passion for the profession as vine grower and winemaker leads us to strive for cultivating grapes of high quality. The grapes in every single vineyard are vinified separately. The labels we produce are only a representation of an especially suitable vineyard.

We believe in the importance of the quality of a product from our territory and our wish is to find markets that will welcome our products with enthusiasm. This will enable us to continue our work towards offering natural and genuine products to ourselves as well as to the rest of the world.

The Russomanno Vineyards
Tenuta Russomanno, an estate on our property, is situated in the Cirò Superiore district. It comprises five hectares with mostly organically cultivated vineyards as well as olive groves and a citrus grove.
The terrain is flat with sandy and medium-textured soil. The altitude of the land is approximately 200 m.a.s.l.
It is here that we cultivate the indigenous grape varieties, such as Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco, with very interesting results. We use a training system of spurred cordon in a temperate microclimate that enjoys winds both from the sea and the surrounding hills.
We produce our Cirò Rosso Classico Salvogaro and Rosemanno, both 100% Gaglioppo, and the white wine Cirò Doc Frandina (100% Greco Bianco) with grapes from these vineyards..

The Mortilla Vineyards
The Mortilla vineyards are situated in the Cirò Marina district at 300 m.a.s.l. with a southern exposure.
The planted vines are 90% Gaglioppo and 10% Magliocco. We apply organic farming in the vineyards.
The characteristics of the wines produced here, both complex and elegant, are very much tied to the land and a true expression of the terroir.
The warm climate is typically Mediterranean with marine breezes that mitigate the winter cold and freshen up the warm summer days.
It is with these grapes that we produced Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore 2013.
